The North Okanagan Naturalists’ Club (NONC) is a group of citizens dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of nature in the northern part of the Okanagan Valley, in south-central British Columbia. Communities in the area include Vernon, Coldstream, Okanagan Landing, Silver Star, Armstrong, and others.
NONC members are active in observing and appreciating nature. We spend time in nature by birding, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and taking on various stewardship projects. Members take part in annual Christmas Bird Counts, Swan & Eagle Counts, bluebird trail monitoring and hummingbird banding.
NONC holds monthly meetings, from September through May, with informative and interesting speakers. Many members participate in projects of local, regional, provincial and national importance.
We also host Nature Walks every Saturday morning, year-round, which are a great way to see nature and enjoy a 1-½ to 2 hour walk.
See the Home page sidebar for upcoming events.
